Ms Tara Hurster
Tara is a registered psychologist who is passionate about assisting people to live a full, rich and meaningful life. Her special interest is working with people living with drug and alcohol addiction concerns from a harm minimisation approach. She is formally trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and uses this broad range of evidence based tools to provide individualised treatment plans for her clients. Tara’s broad clinical experience includes school counselling, addiction rehabilitation and mood management working with individuals, families and groups. She has worked within private hospitals, private practice, non-government organisations (NGO) and with young people both as a school counsellor and an outreach youth worker for over 7 years.
